I contacted this company at the very last minute because I needed someone to help move my boxes from the ground floor to my apartment. They quickly sent a helper named Guri Sidhu and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better person. He arrived right on time, was extremely professional, and worked quickly and carefully. Guri was not only strong and efficient, but also incredibly kind and responsible. He even helped with things that were not part of his job-like moving a pallet— without charging me anything extra. His attitude and willingness to help really stood out. The price was also very fair and much better than other companies I contacted. We decided on using Busy Boys moving after reading all the positive reviews. We were not disappointed. They moved us from Victoria to Abbotsford. They drove an empty truck over from Abbotsford (and ferried) in the morning, loaded their truck and then returned to Abbotsford in the evening. They asked me if I wanted the bed at the back of their truck so they could deliver it that same day giving me a place to sleep. I already arranged a place to sleep for the night but was very impressed they considered my possible late night needs. The next morning all furniture was moved into my new home. Everything arrived in perfect condition with no damage. I found their pricing to be very reasonable. I will be using them again for sure.
We had a great experience with Busy Boys Movers. The team was friendly, quick, and professional, making the whole move seamless from start to finish. Communication was clear and easy throughout. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a smooth moving experience.
I can't give 5 stars unfortunately.First let me say, they were very friendly and were able to accommodate my move date. They were quick to respond via text when I needed to confirm the appointment. They were 40 minutes late however, but they texted to tell me this.My issue was initially - when I requested a quote, I clearly stated what they would be moving. 3 bdrm Townhouse to basement level house. A lot of the boxes done already, etc. etc. Their response was minimum 3 hours @ X/hr.This was the first time for me hiring movers so I thought 3 hours (with 3 guys) would be enough time, so I booked it. They took 6 hours. And I couldn't exactly ask them to stop at 3, as the truck was 3/4 full of my stuff. I would think a good business practice would be to say at the beginning "based on our experience, your move will take at least 5-6 hours so you're looking at X dollars". I think not giving me an accurate timeframe is a sales tactic to get the business.A few other small issues:1) one guy carried light items one at a time / one handed down two flights of stairs. The other two guys seemed pretty efficient, but one guy was fairly slow.2) they wrapped everything, even things that didn't need to be wrapped and I feel it was a time waster.3) they asked for a blanket for my tv.. (like, wouldn't you have this already?) they did end up using theirs but I feel they didn't want to at first because they didn't want to unwrap my tv to get their blanket before they left. (they don't unwrap anything just fyi).4) they didn't have the correct tools to unmount my tv mount. I luckily had a small set of tools that thankfully worked. They asked if they could come back the following week to do it, however I needed my mount that day as they don't remount and I had scheduled someone else to do it.5) their plastic wrap ran out at one point and they left a complete mess of ripped up cardboard at my old place for me to clean up...All things considered, they were friendly, and the job got done with very limited damage (small scratch on my patio table).I would hire movers again and now that I've been thru it, I know what to expect. I'm not sure if I would hire these guys again though unfortunately. Total cost was $1186 and I was quoted $650. Just too much of a variance in my opinion that they should have known, and therefore should have told me ahead of time so I could budget accordingly.
These people are fantastic! Believe me they are the bestest for moving! This is my second time working with them! Mine was a cross border move and i had to find someone who could deal with PODS storage ! I changed dates 2-3 times as the cross border transit was taking time, and they accommodated so much! Guri and Jashan are so committed to what they do. They helped in bringing stuff from parking which was quite a bit away from my apartment. I thought it will take 7-8 hours, they did everything under 4 hours. Pricing was super genuine and believe me we are so happy and gratified with their service! Believe me , if you need someone trustworthy, responsible and free of hassle.. it should be busy boyz!
