Customers frequently mention prompt scheduling, on-time arrivals, and efficient crews. Many note careful handling of furniture and clear communication throughout the move or haul-away. Pricing is often described as fair for the service provided. A smaller number of reviews report concerns about damage resolution communication.

Great experience! I called one day and the CHHJ crew arrived the next. Josh and Oscar did a fabulous job. They arrived on time and were very careful, pleasant, and efficient. CHHJ will be my go to anytime I need items moved.

I had a great experience with Nate, Ethan, and Tyler from College HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving in Loveland. They were fast, efficient, and very fairly priced.
They worked hard and took great care of all my belongings — especially a special piece that’s been passed down in my family, which meant a lot to me. Everything was handled with care and professionalism.
I highly recommend college hunks

Jordan, Oscar, and Tyler were awesome! They all introduced themselves and shook hands with me. Great first impression! They had a hard job removing a recessed hot tub. They got it done and cleaned up the mess. They also took away several other items. Exceptional work! I would recommend College Hunks to anyone.

UPDATE: It's been three weeks since this review, 5 months since the damage. We spoke to the owner of COLLEGE HUNKS shortly after this post, and he said he was going to try to find a way to rectify the situation- perhaps by finding someone to fix the glass. WE HAVE HEARD NOTHING ELSE FROM HIM! Beware of using this company for anything other than hauling junk because that is how they treat your beautiful furniture during moves!

I am writing this review to warn others about the negligence, indifference, and complete lack of accountability we experienced with College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving.

We contracted with this company on 8/7/25 for a move scheduled on 8/22/25, from Anderson to Loveland, at a cost of $2,651.00. We trusted them with our belongings, including irreplaceable furniture, and that trust was profoundly misplaced.

While there were some smaller issues—noticeable nicks on furniture and broken dresser drawer handles caused by movers lifting pieces by the handles—the true devastation came with the destruction of our mirrored curio cabinet, a $3,000 piece with curved glass on all sides and glass shelves.

The glass shelves were wrapped properly. The cabinet itself was not.

This cabinet was the last piece loaded and intended to be the first piece unloaded. It was not wrapped in quilts and not strapped to the wall of the truck. When the truck door opened at our new home, my heart sank instantly. The cabinet had fallen forward. It was completely smashed.

Apologies were offered, with the team leader saying, “We didn’t mean for this to happen.” Of course not—but this was not an unavoidable accident. This was negligence. Basic moving protocols were ignored.

I immediately contacted the owner, who dismissively responded with, “Accidents happen. Too bad for you.” When my husband tried to speak with him, we were told, “That’s what happens in moves.”

That response was devastating.

We immediately tried to find solutions. I searched for replacement cabinets. My husband contacted glass companies to explore repairs. Because the cabinet uses custom curved glass, replacement proved nearly impossible. We contacted Glass Guru, Glenny Glass Company, Allied Window, Curve Glass Creations, and Custom Glass and Glazing. Only one company said replacement was even possible—and the cost would exceed the original value of the cabinet.

All of this was happening while trying to settle into a new home.

Throughout this process, we were in frequent contact with Tom Brown, the General Manager of College Hunks Moving, who showed no interest in helping us, despite openly acknowledging that the damage resulted from their failure to use proper care. Each interaction was cold, rude, and dismissive.

Instead of taking responsibility, we were repeatedly pointed to a clause in the contract stating they would pay 60 cents per pound per item for damaged “fragile articles”—even though the contract also states that this limitation applies unless such articles are packed and handled by their employees, and only if the damage is not caused by the mover’s negligence.

This was not normal wear-and-tear.
This was not unavoidable damage.
This was a preventable loss caused by their failure to secure and protect our property.

Our beautiful cabinet is gone. There is no meaningful compensation. There is no accountability. There is no concern for the customer once payment is collected.

This experience revealed a dereliction of duty, a shocking lack of professionalism, and a company culture that hides behind fine print instead of standing behind its work.

Please learn from our experience and stay away from College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving.

Once they damage your belongings, you are on your own.

Sincerely,
Pamela & JT Williams

We highly, highly recommend College Hunks Moving for any of your moving needs. Tyler and his crew were exceptional! We are moving to a new townhome and needed our heavy furniture moved. They arrived at the promised time and took great care to ensure our furniture was wrapped properly and loaded with no damage to the furniture or the walls. They were also eager to load additional items at our request. This crew were consumate professionals. If we could give them 10 stars, we would. Seriously, you can't get a more professional moving company. Highly recommend!
