Both of my moving people were kind and respectful. They helped me move my old washer. It was a good experience. I would recommend them for anyone who needs to move small amounts of items, but don’t require a full move. It’s hard to find a company that does à la carte moves, as most do full moves and have a minimum payment requirement. This one has a minimum move requirement as well, but they had better prices than all the other places I called and received quotes from.
The wife and I just recently moved and decided movers were the way to go. Being out here and it just being the two of us it would have took us at least a week to move all of our stuff out. We decided "You Move Me Honolulu" they sent us 3 men Jordan, Armer, and Logan those three were a well oiled machine. They were professional and respectful of both properties. Handled our stuff with care even the heavy stuff. Didn't love the 3 levels lol ?? at the new property. But no complaints just jokes about it and we all had a good laugh. We really were thankful for those fellas and working hard to get to the 4hr mark we were quoted, we went over by 15mins. Not bad considering all the steps ha! They even disassembled and reassemble at the new spot in that time frame. Moving people has always been apart of my life with my older cousins so im all too familiar with the beating your body can take. Thank you gentlemen for making this process smooth for us.If you need movers these 3 were everything you can ask for.Thank you,Orlando and Jewelz
I had a very good experience with using “you move me“ for the emptying of my PODS container from New Jersey and transport the contents into my Waikiki building. The supervisor Caius was prompt and eager to help with the moving and the 2 movers were very pleasant. The primary mover, James was extremely professional and so accommodating. He was very fast and efficient but always eager to also accept my suggestions which created a very relaxed atmosphere. The other mover, Donte was younger but very pleasant as well.I would recommend this moving company.
DO NOT use this company. I wish I went with Honolulu Movers. Our bill was nearly 3x ($1,200 extra) higher than the quote, and they broke a ton of stuff. The leadership is terrible and the workers all seem like new hires. When I first reached out to YouMoveMe, the estimator asked me how many boxes, I told him “~30, but maybe more.” He specifically said “the price is the same up to about 80 boxes.”He asked me the dimensions, and quality of our elevator, and I gave them to him.I also told him “please note, the unloading house is on a steep hill, and the house is up a flight of stairs.” He said “that’s no problem at all, our guys got it covered.”The quote came back at $737.32, and they expected it to take 2 guys, 3 hours. The process was supposed to go from 1pm-4pm.But on moving day, the crew didn’t finish loading until about 4:15pm. The reason they gave was “slow and small elevators.” The elevator in our building is slow, but not so much it triples the loading time. When the truck arrived at the unloading location, they went to the wrong house and damaged my neighbor’s driveway. (Photo attached). If I had not run up to them and yelled to stop, they would have damaged it further. They then refused to drive up our driveway “because the truck couldn’t make it.”So they parked at the bottom, and we waited 20 minutes for another employee to arrive with a pickup truck, which they used to shuttle the load up the driveway, and unload at the house.Another ~30 mins later, the owner showed up with a third pickup. Then all 4 crew members shuttled using the owner’s truck. While moving the furniture, they struck and broke our porch light. The crew members couldn’t figure out how to put the furniture they disassembled back together, and needed my help. For example, it took 3 men 30 minutes to put my 3-piece bedframe back together. At 7:45pm, fearing an outrageous charge, I told them they could leave. At that time most of our boxes were still in the living room. After they left, we discovered a ton of damage to our furniture. About ? of the items they were responsible for were damaged while moving. It’s clear they were dragged, dropped, or banged up (photos attached). They left a strap and a nail at the base of our driveway (photo attached). The owner charged me for every minute of every single mover (including himself). I told him I was disappointed the final charge was nearly 3 times the estimate. The owner said charges were justified because the “elevator was slow, there were “more than 30 boxes and two extra nightstands, and that particular truck couldn’t go up the driveway.”I responded that all of that had been disclosed to the estimator and should’ve been factored into our quote. The estimator had our address, so did the owner. Either could’ve done a quick Google Maps search to evaluate the driveway and use an appropriate truck.I thought since the company had done such a poor job estimating and planning, the owner would be apologetic and offer a concession. This guy thought we owed him an apology. Not a single dollar off.I would never recommend this company.
Back on 11/30/2025, I reached out to You Move Me Honolulu by e-mail to get a quote. Their customer service team responded the next day with such promptness by phone and even e-mail, which included an estimate and breakdown of the costs: labor, moving equipment/services, etc. I really appreciated how the operations manager, Caius, kept me in the loop with what to expect and having all my questions and concerns with the moving process answered. When it finally came to the day of the move on 12/19/2025, the movers, Jordan and Logan, were very professional and respectful. Needless to say, they did a phenomenal job when handling all items that I needed moved from the garage and bedroom; especially when it came to having said items moved up 19 steps before entering the new home. Jordan and Logan were very courteous to address any preferences I had with regard to where items should be placed. They even placed moving blankets on the floor (from the front door to the living room) before bring up all the items.Special thanks to everyone at You Move Me Honolulu for making my first local moving experience a simple and very easy transition! I highly recommend this company to anyone needing help with moving.
