Moving can be a challenge, but my experience with USF Moving Company in Houston turned out to be completely effortless. Their team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. They arrived right on time, handled every item with care, and treated my belongings as if they were their own. Heavily damaged our furniture, refused to reimburse for repairs, increased quoted price, and more than doubled the original quoted shipping time. I would highly recommend avoiding if you haven't anything close to fragile that you care about.- USF movers heavily damaged most of our wooden furniture. Two legs were broken off a dresser and almost everything wooden suffered heavy abrasions, scratches, or had chunks removed because they didn't wrap the furniture with blankets.- On delivery, the owner Mike said that he'd reimburse us for repairing the damaged furniture. However, even though we got this agreement in writing, after getting two repair quotes, Mike later refused to reimburse us for repairs because he thought the quotes were too expensive. Instead, Mike wanted us to trust him to take the furniture halfway across the country to get it repaired more cheaply at a place that specializes in leather repairs, but our damaged furniture is wooden. Needless to say, there was no way we were going to trust USF with that after they consistently underdelivered on their promises.- USF emailed us two days before our move day to increase their quoted move price from 6-7.5k to 8k.- When we booked the move, we were told the truck would deliver 2 days after move out. On move out day, we were then told 4-5 days. The owner, Mike, said the delay was to fix the dresser leg they broke while loading the truck. We asked to just not repair it so that the delivery wouldn't be delayed, but this didn't change USF's estimated delivery date. So Mike lied about why the delivery date was extended. They delivered after 5 days.- I eventually got Mike to agree to pay for about half of the repair costs in exchange for taking down this review (probably the only reason he gets good ratings). Our move was in October 2024 and as of July 2025, he hasn't finished paying, so I'm putting the review back up.
