True north was excellent all around. We had an apartment building move which tends to be more difficult. Alex and Ermias were fantastic. Arrived promptly at 9:00am as scheduled and were not only hard working, polite and professional, but also very helpful in assisting with assembly at the end point. It was a long day and they worked very hard. Cost was reasonable, they were careful with everything and really exceeded expectations. I would 100% recommend to anyone who needs a move. I did research on many companies to do an out of province move. Deciding to leave everything I’ve ever known was a huge decision and a very stressful situation. I decided to go with this company because of my friends opinions. Once speaking with Lucas to get the quotes and numerous times I had asked about fees was told nothing more was needed than the money for the quote unless if I was over the allocated 1000lb limit. I felt relief but still was worried about being over the weight. I was informed it would take 2-3 days to get to the destination which I was relieved to hear. So a date was set for the 30th of January at 10am. I made plans for job interviews and viewings of places at my final destination knowing that pick up was being done prior to starting my drive across country. Then I get a call stating that because of weather that was beyond anyone’s control, pick up had to be delayed by a day and a half ( instead of Friday at 10am it was being moved to Saturday between 4-6pm ). I was upset by it but quickly understood and got a friend to be there to supervise the loading of my belongings so I could keep my plans in place. I tried calling back to inform you of this but kept getting busy signals and called Lucas to inform him that I had someone I trusted to oversee it all. I got a call from someone asking if they could arrange pick up for Monday, and by this time I was absolutely disappointed and was adamant that pick up had to be the Saturday due to not having access to the property after Saturday. I was well on my way to my destination, when I got a text and call stating that the driver was at my house waiting. I was informed by Lucas that I would get a heads up 45 minutes prior to let me know the truck was on its way. Never got that period. Had to call someone else to over see the loading. Then I got an invoice in my email stating I owed more money toward the cost of the having your company move my belongings across the country and I was completely confused regarding it. I called the company and was transferred to the accounting department to inquire and ask questions in regards to the invoice. I was met with hostility and very unprofessional behaviour from the lady ( didn’t catch her name ) and wasn’t able to ask questions because she kept cutting me off and was extremely rude and started yelling at me and hung up. Tried calling back but call kept getting ignored. It all added a lot more stress onto my plate having to deal with that on top of leaving everything I have ever known behind. I was able to destress and I decided to call back and speak to someone else, Steve. He was very polite and explained everything in detail and he informed me that I was given two emails to which explained the fuel surcharge. Going thru my emails I only ever got one email from your company and that was the one explaining the quote I was given at the very beginning and that was it. Told Steve how rudely I was treated by the accounting department and that it was unacceptable. I was able to ask questions with Steve and he informed me that delivery was going to be either Friday or Saturday ( a week after it got picked up ). I told Steve I was misinformed of that when booking as I was told originally 2-3 days. Truck arrived yesterday at the final destination and I was happy to see my belongings finally. The two movers were phenomenal and very polite. As my stuff was being unloaded, I noticed that many of my bins were broken and bags were ripped open. I asked the drivers how’d that happen when it was carefully packed. One of the drivers explained that at pick up, the one mover had thrown my bins into the truck as well as the bags too. My one painting was destroyed that had sentimental value to it as it was the last thing I had of my deceased mothers belongings. Normally I don’t complain about anything but this warranted it.The whole move and has been one big stressing time in my life and thought this was going to be easy but it definitely wasn’t easy at all.I will not be using this company again for future moves.
??????????I had an outstanding experience with True North Movers and couldn’t be more impressed.From the very beginning, their professionalism stood out. Their manager, Collin, came in advance to assess our move and book exactly what we needed — and he got it spot on. On moving day, they sent a truck with three movers who were hardworking, cheerful, and clearly experienced. They worked extremely well together, communicated clearly, and engaged with me whenever needed.They took excellent care of our furniture and belongings, including some very challenging items. One example was a 350-lb jukebox, which they handled safely and confidently without any issues.Most importantly, the entire move was stress-free and hassle-free, which is exactly what you hope for during a move.I will absolutely be using True North Movers again — twice more in the next two weeks, and again in about three months. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. If you hire them, you’ll be very pleased.
I highly recommend True North Movers. They were easy to book with, and their quote was very reasonable. On moving day they were prompt, professional, and courteous. They handled our things with care, they worked quickly, and they were careful not to track mud into the house.
This moving company is hands down THE BEST COMPANY!!! Chad and Josh were QMAZING!! They showed up on time and started working right away, put runners to not dirty the carpets, wrapped up all the furniture and made sure nothing got damaged. Very nice guys. I recommend this company hands down!!! Amazing!! Absolutely amazing!!!! Thank you Chad and Josh and True North Movers!
