I moved from Philly to Colorado, they wrapped my dressers when they got to me they were completely broken. My grand-mom gifted me espresso cups from Italy that are missing. Paid around $2000 ( price went up a few hundred when the movers came out ) for a few boxes 1 queen mattress, 2 tvs, 3- 3 drawer dressers and a few loose kid toys.
If I could give them a zero I would. I would honestly rather hire a camel to move my stuff than ever move with them ever again. I was a small move and going just over 500 miles. They picked my stuff up and kept it for 3 weeks and broke their contract several times. They lost my payment and then found it and when the movers finally arrived they came at 4:30am and then required more money due to unforeseen stairs (which I understand but was nowhere in the contract). The customer service is awful and makes no effort to help remedy anything and is extremely rude. Don't get me wrong I get moving isn’t easy but this was an absolute nightmare, hire anybody but them.
I should’ve read the reviews before booking this company. HORRIBLE. I would literally put my sofa on my back, and crawl it to its destination before I’d book these con artists again. Unprofessional, uncouth, unethical. It took them 10 days to deliver the items, and a lot of the boxes showed up damaged. On item was missing (STILL trying to get in contact with them to rectify it). They will quote you one price, then, once your items are on the truck, a whole new price will appear. Mine almost DOUBLED. One company will pick your stuff up, a totally different company will deliver it. Where do they do THAT?!All in all, as many of the reviewers stated on here, DO YOUR RESEARCH. Do NOT hire these charlatans
I used NJ Transit for a cross country move a little over a month ago. I moved from NYC to SF. I have been waiting to review trying to give them time to respond. I don't really like to review, as I am in the hospitality industry and find reviews tend to be super heated and not very helpful. I have emailed and called multiple times and been ignored. I am giving 2 stars only because my items arrived within 10 days.I have made this move multiple times and used multiple companies. I would NOT recommend this company, only as a last result. They were not punctual, not very friendly, and a lot of my items were damaged. I am currently working out the insurance claim. They recommended Baker insurance and they have been wonderful (almost like they knew I would have issues...). Very charismatic on the sale, but the customer service side of it was very very lacking.
The worst company! Cross Country move from New York to Phoenix, AZ! 20 days to get my things. If you could see how they pack your things on the truck with no care at all you would not book them at all! Total Rip-off and a racket! I was quoted $1600 almost $2700 later they left my thing on the side of the road in the heat . I’m not one to write a review but if this helps one other person from going through what happened to me.
