Recent reviews frequently mention courteous movers and clear phone updates on arrival, but also note inconsistencies such as late arrivals, estimate variances, and communication gaps about packing expectations. Several customers report efficient crews on move day, while others describe delays and slower pacing. There are mixed experiences with handling and placement of larger items. Overall sentiment varies by crew and scheduling execution.
The two gentleman who showed up today February 9, 2026, Tyler and Malakia were extremely helpful, polite, and communicative. Tyler called this morning to say he was on his way, then again after the got the truck weighed with an ETA. They showed up ready to move and were so helpful and efficient. They really made the difference. I appreciate them so much.Reason for 2 stars: The move was originally scheduled for Saturday February 7, 2026. During the initial brokerage of the deal lots of communication and responses in a timely manner. I was told someone would reach out 1-3 days before the move to go over timing and last minute details. No one called, I emailed around 3pm on Friday. Was told between 8am-10am. At 7:45am Saturday morning I received a call saying the movers would be there between 10am-11am. By 11:40am, no one showed, I called, was told by 12:30pm, they showed by 12:50pm. Refused to park in the area my brother shoveled for them. Lied about the situation and left. I spent more time on the phone trying to figure out what was happening than anything. The move was rescheduled for today. And was told I wouldn't have to pay for materials to make up for my inconvenience. When I signed the paperwork today, the materials were absolutely charged. I didn't say anything because I was just happy to be done. But these people running the show aren't very honest. I understand Saturday was extremely cold and it was not know it would be that cold when we scheduled. If there was no intention to work that day call the customer and let them know. Don't keep pushing the start time back, then the drivers show up unhappy and mean and look for a way out of work. It would have saved hours of waiting, driving, and frustration.
Would not recommend. When I set up moving I requested that the movers pack all boxes. They stated it was no problem and quoted me a price. When the movers arrived they were 45 minutes late, said they had no idea they were to pack stuff and asked us to pack everything. You pay by the hour for services and the movers were incredibly slow, esp for not packing any boxes. He asked us to transport in our own vehicle the glass pieces to the entertainment center because he “didn’t want to break them” I have moved whole houses in less time than it took them to move a small one bedroom apartment with minimal items
I do NOT recommend this company to any one considering a local move. We were quoted an estimate of $577 with a $100 deposit to move 1 bedroom with 6 items. The movers arrived late after 5:00 PM to the wrong address. Had to redirect them to the correct address. Movers didn’t have the tools to take bed apart. At 7:15 PM they arrived at end destination without the bed. Moved 5 pieces of furniture no stairs. They company said it was $800 for the move. I have included a picture of what was moved to my final destination. We refused to pay since this was much higher than the quote which already on the high end. Their communication is poor to employees and customers. They sent 3 movers and a giant truck to move 6 pieces of furniture for an 8 mile distance. The movers themselves were polite and felt awkward stating $800 cost. They were tired because they were sent from another move to the wrong address to begin with. We called All My Sons moving and refused to pay based on what we were quoted and the incomplete move. Chris provided a paper to fill out for billing which states the consumer will not file a credit card dispute. This is a huge RED flag basically handing over credit card information to be charged an unknown dollar amount. We filled the information with what was quoted. Movers BEWARE and stay away from this company for your local moving needs. Read before signing any bill. Poor customer and employee experience. We now have to go back with an Allen wrench to take apart the bed frame and move it to our house. Waste of time and money. I hope this review helps others to not use this company. We did NOT use them for our primary move.
I have moved many times. This was by far the best experience from move out to move in. First time the estimate was right with no bump in price like going through a broker, learned the hard way. Marcus and help were very helpful and courteous. Pittsburgh to Harrisburg went with no stress and surprises. Highly recommend for your moving company. Office staff were great.
I hired All My Sons to move 2 larger pieces of furniture 4.8 miles. I wanted both pieces of furniture to go in the basement of my new house. I was sent 2 young guys who were very nice, the one guy was also capable (I think his name was Stone?), the other guy could barely lift anything. They couldn’t get either piece of furniture into my basement. One of the pieces I wasn’t too worried about, but the other piece I absolutely needed in the basement. I measured the space and told them there was enough room, but they said they couldn’t do it. I was told they would let their boss know and he should get back to me to set up a time where they could send more capable movers to move that piece down. I was charged almost $700 for 2 pieces of furniture to be moved 4.8 miles into my garage!Last night, my ex husband and myself (I’m a 5’3” female) moved the one piece of furniture I NEEDED into the basement by ourselves with no problem at all!I never heard from the company again, they never tried to make it right, they never offered any refund, absolutely NOTHING.I would have been better off grabbing 2 guys off the street to move my items, it would have been WAY cheaper and they would have done the complete job.
