This was, without a doubt, the worst moving experience I’ve ever had. Moving is stressful enough without the added chaos and lack of communication we endured with this company.Before our move, I confirmed with Matt (the owner) on the Wednesday before our Sunday move-out date that his crew would arrive at 10:00 AM. On moving day, no one showed up at 10:00. After waiting 20 minutes, I began calling, texting, and emailing Matt with no response. At that point I was panicking about whether we’d been scammed and trying to figure out how to move ourselves (I have a torn rotator cuff and my husband is recovering from surgery) or hire another company last-minute.Only after my son called did Matt finally respond—at noon—to say his workers hadn’t shown up and he’d had to replace them. He promised they’d be there by 1:00 PM. They didn’t arrive until 2:15 PM. Matt was not one of the movers, but the movers he sent (Tyler and Zane) were professional, careful, and polite. The move-out itself went smoothly once they arrived, with part of our belongings delivered that evening and the rest placed into storage without issue.For move-in day, the same communication issues happened again. The day before, I called and texted to confirm; hours later Matt called back and said it was a go. I told him I’d text when we had the keys, which I did just after noon—again with no reply. At 2:00 PM I finally got a text saying the movers were “15 minutes away,” and they arrived at 3:00 PM.The unloading went fine (Zane again and two others), but billing was another nightmare. Instead of an invoice, I was verbally quoted hours and rates on the spot. When I asked for a written invoice to review before paying, Matt immediately called and was (somehow) immediately available to reply to texts Only then did he send me written details, which initially contained incorrect charges that I had to dispute.I also learned—only at this point—that his hourly rate is $160 for two movers and $190 for three, including travel time from his shop and back. This was never explained beforehand. Meanwhile, Zane was standing in my home waiting for payment while Matt called and texted that it needed to be done and said the movers were there to safely escort me to the bank if I wanted to pay with cash.None of this was disclosed when booking.The movers themselves were good. The owner’s lack of communication, transparency, and professionalism was not. Never again would I use this company, and I’ll be warning friends and family to avoid them as well.
Absolutely amazing from first communication to finishing the job! Professional, meticulous, efficient and reliable, cannot recommend these guys more! They took extra care to remove all doors, nails in the wall or anything that could damage our furniture and we were surprised with how cheap our invoice was when all was said and done. Will definitely be using this business again!
I gave a four star because of the lack of communication with Matt and showing up late without notifying me!However, that being said, you will not find a better crew to move you!These guys work hard, very polite, and more importantly takes very good care of your belongings! I don’t usually write a review but these guys earned it!Obviously I would recommend them and the price was very good compared to other companies that I called!
I honestly can’t even put into words how Awesome Matt and Joel were to deal with we had to relocate from Red Deer to Grande Prairie on very short notice due to my Job. I was lost at what to do having only a few days to move! So I called A&M From the second I spoke with Matt on the phone I felt very confident they could get it done! From speaking to Matt Tuesday afternoon to having a Uhaul loaded Wednesday night and on the road Thursday morning I was absolutely shocked with how fast, professional, polite and just all around great guys they were! Me and my wife were able to drive both our vehicles while they drove the uhaul to save us a trip back and forth again We honestly can’t say thank you enough and I would recommend Matt and his team a million times over to anyone who needs help moving ?? thank you guys and keep doing the awesome work that you do!
A & M moving where I think the A&M should stand for Amazing & Mighty! For a first-time moving experience, I can’t believe how thorough, efficient, and skilled Matthew, Daniel, and the team were with our trailer loads of stuff! What would’ve taken us a week and 20 trips took them a day. You can tell they take pride in their work, and Matthew’s leadership totally set the team up for success - especially while manning our piano down some crazy stairs - and the team’s morale was amazing even on a scorching hot day! They have their own process and lingo that makes the process FLY! I’m so grateful and impressed. ???? 10000/10 recommend for your next move!
