Review for R&A MoversI am sharing my experience to help others make an informed decision.I contacted R&A Movers the evening before a possible move and was told I would be placed “on the schedule.” I reasonably understood this to mean a future date. However, the crew arrived at my home the next morning at 9:00 a.m. without prior confirmation or notice. I was not prepared and had no opportunity to pack or organize.The movers began removing large items and transporting them to the new location. While stepping out briefly to purchase water for the crew, I experienced an unexpected car issue that required immediate cash payment to resolve. When I attempted to contact the company to explain the delay in payment caused by this situation, I was unable to speak directly with the owner and communication occurred indirectly, which I found unhelpful and unprofessional.After the move, I discovered that my bed frame had been assembled incorrectly. I had the bed inspected by a professional contractor, who advised that the damage to the rails makes repair impractical and that replacement would be required at significant cost.I later contacted the company seeking acknowledgment of the situation and clarification. Unfortunately, the matter was not resolved to my satisfaction.Based on the lack of clear scheduling communication, difficulties in direct communication, and damage to my furniture, I would not choose this company again.
Quoted me 2 guys for 3 hours, ended up finishing with 3 guys in 2 hours. Their work ethic is superb. Thank you!
Workers were great, truck wasn't big enough took much longer than quoted. Now we have to rent another truck to collect the rest of our belongings. Save yourself the headache and pick another company. They even came by and looked at the house and still didn't bring a large enough truck.
I advise staying away from this business at all costs. Had two movers arrive; they demanded $500 in advance (no deposit) for three hours of labor. After only working for an hour they promised to return the next day to work the two hours they were paid. The following day they claimed it would cost an additional 230 to finish the rest of the job. Scamming at its finest.
R&A movers helped us with our move from Windsor to Toronto. They were friendly, professional, and they worked quickly and efficiently. They ended up being slightly less expensive than originally quoted, because they got the work done so quickly. We would highly recommend using them!
